Here’s your opportunity to take a leadership role on the day of the conference.

We need 20+ students to volunteer to lead discussion groups on the morning of the New Mexico Diversity Conference.  After attending a mandatory training session, facilitators are paired and assigned discussion groups with approximately 25-30 students from around the state on the conference day.  Discussions can include any number of topics, including an exploration of what is diversity, defining stereotypes, comparing diversity clubs and events at different schools, and sharing ideas to make schools across New Mexico safe for everyone.

Mandatory Training

Student facilitator training for the New Mexico Diversity Conference will take place on Saturday, March 23 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.  Lunch will be provided.

The training is open to all high school students.  Note trained facilitators must also attend the New Mexico Diversity Conference on Saturday, April 6, 2019 in order to fulfill their duties.
