We work hard to support all schools in attending our events, even those driving long distances.
We are serious about making the Cherry Creek Diversity Conference a statewide event for all students, and that includes schools travelling long distances to reach the conference. Whether coming from Grand Junction, Durango or anywhere else in Colorado, here you will find information about how your school can join us for the event without having to incur significant additional cost.
In general, school groups within a 3-hour drive of the Denver Metro area can attend the event without requiring overnight stays.
YCD has negotiated a hotel room block with the Hilton Garden Inn Denver Tech Center, located just a few blocks from the conference venue.
The room block covers check-in on Friday, January 31, 2020 and check-out on Saturday, February 1, 2020 (the day of the conference).
Rooms available include:
- 1 standard king bed (sleeps 2, including free parking): $89/room
- 2 double beds (sleeps 4, including free parking): $99/room
While the hotel will charge tax in addition to the room rate, you can have taxes waived if paying through a high school or nonprofit account. Ensure you have the tax exemption information for your school or organization available at the time of check-in.
Rooms must be reserved no later than Monday, January 6, 2020 in order to guarantee the rates above. After this date, prices may increase.

Reimbursement for Travel Costs
Is your school wanting to attend the Cherry Creek Diversity Conference, but not sure how you can cover gas, lodging, food and other travel expenses?
YCD is building partnerships with foundations and grantmakers across the state to reimburse schools for these costs so they can join us for this powerful event. Contact us to let us know of your interest, and we’ll put you in touch with a local foundation or donor who may be willing to help.
