Take action with YCD to make schools safe for everyone.
We believe that people from all walks of life are needed to build strong communities, and to make the school environment safe for all young people. We look for partnerships with not only youth but also teachers, educational administrators, parents, non-profit organizations, colleges and universities, private companies, foundations, volunteers, and others.
Below are several different ways you can get involved with YCD’s mission to make schools a positive environment for all teens.
If you’re a high school teacher or student looking to attend one of our upcoming events, head over to the Programs section to find the event right for you.
We are always seeking support from community partners, whether individuals, corporations, foundations or others, and we welcome both cash and in-kind donations. Learn more about various levels of sponsorship and benefits here. If you don’t see the answers to your questions, contact us to discuss how we can work together to make schools safe for all teenagers.
Our events cannot run without the generous help of volunteers. Visit here to sign up for a work shift at one of our upcoming events, or you can be added to our volunteer mailing list to be notified of upcoming volunteer opportunities.
If you’re a high school student who recently attended one of our events, we want to hear from you! Make a commitment today on how you’re going to improve your local school or community, and let us know about it. Teachers may also apply for microgrant funding to support their school’s plans.
We are constantly posting new resources, curriculum ideas and more on the YCD Blog for teachers and students interested in promoting diversity, inclusion and tolerance in their schools. Visit here to find the latest posts related to the topics you are dealing with.
